Subsurface exploration took place in August 2020 and included the collection and analysis of soil and pavement cores. The data gathered was then used during the design process. The approximate location of the soil and pavement cores is shown on the Subsurface Exploration Location exhibit on this page.

 

As survey data collection continued, some residents may have notice painted or flagged markings on the ground within the survey area limits. These markings were placed on the ground to indicate where existing underground utilities (electric, gas, telecommunications, etc.) are located. The location of the existing underground utilities has been used to avoid hitting these utilities as samples are collected. The markings do not represent locations for proposed storm sewers.
